Special Information for SLOPED WEDGE SHIMS: For proper installation, the bottom guide rail of your screen door will need a stable and level surface to rest on. Before ordering, you will need to determine the exact installation location for the screen cassette, which will influence the bottom guide. If the surface is sloped, you will need to level the surface with sill shims.
- If you are not purchasing a sill transition, you will need to order the wedge shim for use with the traditional bottom guide.
- If you require a narrow sill transition, you will need to order the wedge shim for use with the narrow threshold transition.
- If you have a medium sill transition, you will need to order the wedge shim designed for use with the Medium Threshold Transition.

Door is OK but you need first someone who can count screws in a kit. I was shorted several. Big deal? yes when you live in an area 18 miles from hardware store. Instructions to switch from right to left hanging were marginal at best. You need a good technical writer. The kit was plastic bag with screws and other plastic parts.

Ordering custom Sliding screen door was easy once I found your site, Lynda did a great job. I have not open the package yet that way it stays protected till i get done isolating the wall and then finishing the walls and painting. I just finish the electrical.

I have now purchased a few items from DIY, This is a long story short. Very good company to work with. Very good product , The video and paper instructions make this harder than it was. Give them good measurements and take your time read everything and look at the video. Our door fit like a glove and took about 1.5 hrs to install. looks great and works great. we are using it on a narrow rear deck and this was the perfect solution. the hard part was we needed to make a threshold extension under the lower track as our door has a short threshold, and we didn’t want a recessed door. Main issue at this time is screen is so clear you don’t see it , they should make something like a magnet / decal to help us old guys…..

The retractable door arrived in good shape, and was pretty easy to install. I didn’t realize until I was in the middle of the project that I needed to cut the horizontal pieces to fit, and that gave me a couple of issues. I like the door quite a bit, and the “invisible” screen I bought is indeed invisible! I have to remind myself that the screen is in place. Overall, a good product.

I just received my retractable screen the other day and it is now installed. The quality appears good and my custom cut screen was cut to specification. However no directions came with the screen, so I went online and downloaded. There are minor differences between the stock instructions and what the custom installation required, such as my custom screen did not come with a stop insert, but instead with multiple end caps. I didn’t know what they were, so I called as my screen is coming out of the tracks at times.
I called customer service, got their automated answering system and then got disconnected both attempts. So my screen is close but not complete and i can’t get any help. i guess I’ll have to try again another time, so this is a bit frustrating.

The installed product is excellent! I think I could have taken a few closer dimensions when I was measuring but the customer service team helped me through troubleshooting. After a couple of hours I was able to get it installed. With closer dimensions it would have installed in 30 minutes I bet. Great product!
